Music for piano & strings from the debut album of Michael Wall

"Coming Home" is a quest to discover myself again, to rekindle the creative fire that burns within all of us but too often gets extinguished or burns out. It is me returning to my roots and becoming the man I have always been. I'm coming home.

About Michael

Pianist and composer Michael Wall was born in 1980 and grew up in northern New Jersey. Starting piano lessons at age 8 and trumpet lessons at 9, he would go on to study composition and music education at Montclair State University and later earned a doctoral degree in music and music education from Teachers College, Columbia University. His primary composition teacher was Patrick Burns and he studied piano with Phil Ruggiero and David Witten. Since 2002, he has taught music in various schools in northern New Jersey while also composing and arranging music for concert band, string ensemble, saxophone quartet, and brass quintet. 'Coming Home' is his first album of original music.
